It was the most fantastic tour and I want to thank you for arranging it.

Accommodation:
The accommodation was great and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. The accommodation in Shanghai was a bit far from the conference but we sorted that out very quickly.

Tourist Attractions:
We saw the most fantastic places and it gave us such a good overview of what happened in each of the two cities. There was not one day which we did not enjoy and both our guides were fantastic.

I am amazed at the huge amount that we could fit into our short trip but it was really so well organised and planned and well worth it!

Beijing:
We had a tour guide by the name of Sally and a super driver Mr Hun. She waited for us at the airport and her and Mr Hun were waiting for us whenever we had to be collected. She was very well read on the tourist attractions and knew all her facts. She really had such a caring personality helping us with advise and giving us extra information whenever we asked. She took endless photos for us when we asked and had to deal with many people who have not seen a blonde woman and especially an African woman before. She also assisted me when I needed to get some medication from the pharmacy. It was really a great experience and she is to be recommended to anyone in the future as well as our driver. Sally showed and told us all about the different cuisines and we enjoyed going through the various tourist attractions with her. She ensured that we were at the airport on time to check in and made sure that we were at the correct gate to go through. She is a fantastic young lady who made our short stay very special.

Shanghai:
Our tour guide was Snow and both him and our driver Mr Yang(I hope the spelling is correct) were on time when we had to be collected. Snow really went the extra mile for us as we had to go to the university to register on the day before the conference between certain times. This was only communicated to us on the day before we left South Africa an Snow made arrangements with our driver to take us to do our registration. He also made sure that we covered all our activities as well as showing us additional places such as the Silk Factory Tea Tasting by a Tea Master and a Silk Embroidery Gallery. These were so interesting and none of these activities impacted on our other scheduled stops. He constantly share interesting facts with us and really know his information.
After going to the university for registration we realised we would need to arrange transport for the three days and asked Snow for advise on which busses or trains to take but he arranged that our driver would collect us on the Thursday as he was available and another driver on the Friday. On the Thursday our bus back to the university from the Gala Function was delayed and we were worried that our driver would not wait so long but he was there smiling to our great relief. Snow then spoke to me to confirm the transport arrangements for Friday and once again we were collected on time and were delayed by the bus after the school visits by nearly an hour and a driver was waiting for us to transport us to the hotel. He really went the extra mile for us making use of every minute we had available on the one day of sightseeing as well as to ensure that all our unplanned arrangements were taken care of. He waited at the airport until we were checked in and ready to go through the gates. What a great guide.
