Climate
The climate on the Island of Malta is very similar to the climate in southern Italy or southern Greece. The days tend to be warm and the sun shines almost all year round.
The average temperature in Malta can be considered mild during the winter months, and hot during the summer months. During the winter, the air can be crisp and cool and the winds can produce days that are chilly.
When to go
High season normally lasts from March until October. The winter months are still pleasant, but a little cooler with only rare occurrences of cold weather. It rarely rains from April to August. Malta has a very sunny climate with an average of five to six hours of sunshine a day in midwinter and over twelve hours a day in mid-summer.
